Saheel Kingdom of Arabian Horses: New Era for Global Equestrianism

January 29, 2026

Saheel Kingdom of Arabian Horses is a landmark equestrian development taking shape in Saudi Arabia, designed to merge sport, culture, and tourism under one visionary destination. Construction of the project officially begins on January 26, 2026, marking the first step in bringing this ambitious concept to life as part of the Kingdom’s broader Vision 2030 objectives.

Set along the Red Sea coastline within King Abdullah Economic City, Saheel will span more than 2 million square meters of waterfront land. The project is conceived as a fully immersive equestrian hub—often described as a Disneyland for horse lovers—where horses are integrated into daily life. The development will feature over 20 specialized equestrian facilities, interconnected by 54 kilometers of riding and walking trails, withalongside residential areas, hotels, promenades, and cultural retail spaces.

A cornerstone of Saheel is the introduction of French trotting, a discipline never before established in the region. Purpose-built trotting tracks and training facilities will be developed based on leading international standards. The project aims to host its first international trotting race in September 2027, positioning Saudi Arabia on the global trotting calendar and attracting elite horses, equestrians, and professionals from around the world.

Rooted in Saudi Arabia’s deep historical connection to horses—embodied by the legacy of King Abdulaziz—Saheel Kingdom of Arabian Horses represents a bold step toward establishing the Kingdom as a global destination for equestrian sport, culture, and tourism.
